Investing in the stock market is a risky business. It is better to not enter the market if you have zero knowledge, Instead, you can invest in mutual funds.
If you have a little knowledge of the stock market and follow the daily news, then in long term you can invest in nifty stocks.
These stocks give a standard return of around 10 to 50% depending on the economy of the world.
Except for 2 or 3 years, Nifty has given good returns in the past 20 years.
As a beginner, I suggest you invest in index stocks (Nifty or Sensex) that too with proper diversification.
You can also try Swing Trading if you have 1-2 hours of time in a day. By learning a few simple swing trading strategies, you can earn a little more than investing in index stocks.
However, the risk is also high.
It all depends on how much time you spend on learning. Because the stock market is never-ending learning.
