Stock selection is something we should not depend on others. We have to do our own research.

Just study the basic structure of the company like

    1. Past 5 years performance
    2. Management team
    3. Products/ services they offer
    4. Competitors
    5. Financials
    6. Year on year performance
    7. Last 4 quarter results

You will get a clear picture once you go through all these points. You can easily make a decision on any company.

It is always best to do your own research rather than depending on others.

If you are looking for consistent returns, it is good to invest in Nifty index stocks. You can expect a decent return of 10 to 20 percent per annum.

Which is much higher than investing in mutual funds or in Fixed Deposits. If you are expecting regular income, then you can invest in dividend paying stocks or learn options and futures. It gives much higher returns but the risk is also involved.

Investing in Dividend paying stocks involves absolutely no risk.

Have a look on few dividend paying stocks here.

    Capital Required for Selling Options:

Option selling is more about adjusting the positions when the market goes against your view. If you have big capital you will come out with profits by adjustments otherwise you will have to end up the trade with huge losses.

Because selling options involves in unlimited risk. I suggest not to sell options if you have capital of less than 10 lakhs.

But for to start with option selling you will need at least 2 lakh capital.
