Here is the step by step procedure to convert physical shares in to dematerialized format.

• Open a demat account from any of the stock brokers like Zerodha, Upstox, Angel Broking, etc.,
• Download the Dematerialisation Request Form (DRF) from your broker’s website or from NSDL
• Download DRF from NSDL
• Fill two copies of DRF and sign with “Signature with DP”
• Send the signed copy, original share certificate, a self attested PAN Card copy to your broker’s address.
• After the successful submission of the above documents, the “Registrar And Share Transfer Agent” takes up to 25 days to convert shares.
