I have entered the stock market in March 2019 with an initial capital of Rs. 10000/-. I used to buy penny stocks like Yesbank, Idea, HCC, Trident, Reliance Infra, etc.

My daily routine was buying stocks and selling when it goes up and averaging when it goes down.

I made around 40000 profit in 3 months with a capital of 2.5 lakh.

One day yes bank has started falling and I started averaging it with all my capital. The loss went to 25000 and I left with no capital. I decided to hold it for a few days so that the loss will recover.

7 days gone now the loss is 75000. Scared and sold all the shares.

Took some gaps and learned fundamental analysis and technical analysis. Now I am doing swing trading in Equity stocks.

When I was started my journey in the stock market, I have absolutely no idea other than buying and selling. I started buying stocks blindly and selling them when it comes to red.

Like that, I am earning small-small profits for over 1 month. By the end of the month, I have made a 4% (net profit) return. I thought this was wonderful and added more capital into the account.

The second month started, bought some more stocks. Also invested in some stocks which I don’t even know the company name. Just by looking at the symbol and price, I have invested randomly.

In the mid of the second month, I have witnessed a huge loss. I never sold that stocks even though they went -25%. Waited for 5 to 7 trading sessions and later I realized that something bad happened in the company that I have invested in.

Sold all the shares immediately and the overall average loss was about 1,80,000/- with a capital of 9 lakhs.

I was a swing trader in the beginning. The silliest mistake that I have done at the time is buying penny stocks without checking the fundamentals of the company. This has taken me into huge losses in just 2 days.

Later I started studying fundamentals and technicals. Now I am doing intraday trading.

Even here, I have done some silly things. One of those is Revenge trading.

One day I have lost Rs. 23ooo/- in option selling, to recover the loss, I have started revenge trading on the market. This is the silliest mistake that I have made in recent times.

Finally, that mistake ended me up in 58000 loss. I know that revenge trading and over-trading are not good in the market but don’t know why I have done that.

My highest daily profit is Rs. 45000/-, but in delivery trading. I earned about Rs. 15128/- in intraday option selling in Bank Nifty. This was the highest profit in my trading journey. My intraday losses are much bigger than profits.

I am Varun from Hyderabad, I am a software engineer in TCS. My journey in the stock market was started when I randomly clicked on Rachana Ranade madam’s video on youtube.

The video titled “Basic of Stock Market” was so interesting and I started watching more and more videos on youtube.

Within a week, I have opened my Demat account in Zerodha and started purchasing stocks.

Initially, I have bought penny stocks and earned about 80,000 within 6 months with a capital of 3 lakhs.

And finally, that day came. All my profits went away in one day when the Yesbank share got down.

Scared of the stock market and took some gap. Took some courses and learned price action, options trading, and started trading again after a 1-year gap.

Now, with a capital of 10 lakhs, selling options in Bank Nifty. Now, earning 5 to 10 percent per month.
